REVIEW: I've been using BB Oil Moisturizer for years, even before I had my daughter. I use it on my hair, my sister uses it, my mom even uses it, so I wouldn't be lying if I said this product was good! Now that I do have my daughter, I definitely use it on her hair. It takes good and it's incredibly cheap. I purchase it from Wal-mart for around $2.50. The product makes her hair and my hair easier to brush and it definitely gives it that shine and oomph!  I would definitely recommend this moisturizer!

Beads, Braids, & Bun 2

This is my daughter's newest hairstyle! Beads, braids, and a bun!!!. I did an almost similar hairstyle before (click here), but this time I decided to do things a little differently and have her whole head braided. This hairstyle took a whopping total of 5 1/2 hours to do! Don't forget, we do have to consider the length of her hair. We went to the hairstore earlier yesterday and she picked out these different shades of purple beads! One thousands beads for $3.49! Not bad, right?

I used water, BB Oil Moisturizer (for shine), Kids Organic Gro Strong Triple Action Stimulating Therapy (to reduce frizziness), Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner (for softness), and Soft & Beautiful Just For Me! 2-in-1 Conditioning Detangler (to help detangle, of course). As always, I pour BB Oil Moisturizer and HEHH Conditioner on a napkin and mix it together.

STEP ONE: I parted the back from ear to ear. I detangled it and combed through it! Don't mind that spare braid, I had another hairstyle in mind before I got to the end results.

STEP TWO: I parted three rows and individually braided her hair in strands. I then applied the multicolored purple beads, putting 15 on each braid strand. The end result of that looked like this!

STEP THREE: I made a small part at the top of her head and a short part at the back of her head so I can have a start and stopping point. This was my first time doing this, so I wasn't really sure how people braid in a ponytail. For extra measure, I braided a strand down and put beads on end. I call it My Alicia Keys Braid. LOL.

STEP FOUR: I braided the other side from the part at the top to the part to the back around her head. After I was done braiding, I took an ouchless band and wrapped her hair in a ponytail so I could apply the bun.

STEP FIVE: Applying the bun. I pulled her hair through the hole of the sock bun and evenly spread her hair out over the sock. Next, I wrapped the hair under the sock bun in a circle, twisted the loose end, and continued to wrap it in a circular motion and then secured it with a bobby pin and another ouchless band. THE END!!

Even though it was almost 1130pm when I got finished with Princess's hair, she still looked like she was ready to step out into the night and shut everything down!!

PRODUCT REVIEWS: Soft & Beautiul Just For Me! 2-in-1 Conditioning Detangler

PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRICE: $2.50 - $3.00

SIZE: 8oz.

MISSION: Nourishes, smoothes, & softens. Detangles. Condition hair. Adds moisture.

DIRECTIONS: Spray JUST FOR ME 2-in-1 Conditioning Detangler directly into tangled hair. Allow it to soften hair before combing. Style as desired.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Glycereth-26, Dimethicone PEG-8 Meadowfoamate, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Polyquaternium-22, Silk Amino Acids, Polyquaternium-11, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lactic Acid, Acetamide MEA, Polysorbate 20, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methlisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Limonene, Parfum/Fragrance.
REVIEWS: Before I was introduced to this product, I tried Just For Me! Hair Milk Straightening Mist. I thought that product was a DREAM COME TRUE. It helped me comb through my daughter's hair more easily than before. I was so in love. About a month later, my sister told me she tried Soft & Beautiful Just For Me! 2-in-1 Conditioning Detangler on my daughter's hair and it works so much better than the other stuff (which was more expensive too). At first I was iffy because I don't like switching up when I've found something that works, but I did. OMG, this stuff that was cheaper than the hair milk worked 50x's better! I couldn't believe it!

After washing my daughter's hair, I parted my daughter's hair in section and spread it in one section. I let it sit for a few seconds and then ran my fingers throughjavascript:void(0) it. This stuff practically helps my daughter's hair DETANGLE ITSELF! I wish I was overexaggerating, but I'm not. It made detangling much, much more easier than before. I've been using this product since I was introduced to it and left the hair milk on the shelf! Although it's more for wet hair, I still use it on dry hair and it still helps! First I spray a little water on her hair, then spray the detangler and it works like magic. If you have a hard time detangling your daughter's hair, I HIGHLY suggest you try this!

REVIEW: As I've said in my last post about this product, I saw it mentioned and used a few times on Mixed-Roots & Beads, Braids, & Beyond and from the good reviews I've read there, I wanted to try it on my daughter's hair as a moisturizer. I used it while doing two strand twists and while although it feels like a heavy product, I couldn't get over how soft it made her hair feel. I kept running my fingers through her twists and it just felt very lightweight, like it wasn't weighing her hair down at all. I really believe I will keep this conditioning moisturizer as part of her daily hair routine. I want to try the shampoo as well, but everytime I go to get it, it's never in stock. Sooo that's either telling me that this really is a good product OR Wal-Mart just don't restock their shelves on a regular basis, lol. Whatever, I'm going to find it!!

Oh and not to mention, I love the smell. I've never really been a big coconut fan, especially when it come sto eating it, BUT I have to admit, when I was looking for shampoo to buy last month, I came across Suave Tropical Coconut shampoo. I smelled it, bought it, and ever since then been obsessed with the smell of coconut. I definitely won't be eating it anytime soon, but I'll sure recommend you to smell it! LOL.

Loose Two Strand Twists

Last night, I took it upon myself to change Princess's hair for school today. She will be in a play tomorrow and wanted to wear her hair down. So I put two strand twists in her hair. Before the play, I will take them out so her hair can be nice and curly! Here's photos of the results of loose two strand twists.

HOW I ACHIEVED THIS LOOK
TOTAL STYLING TIME: 3 hours (Given the length of her hair of course)

PRODUCTS USED: Water, Just For Me! Soft & Beautiful 2-n-1 Condtioning Detangler, Herbal Esscences Hello Hydration Conditioner, & Kids Organics Gro Strong Triple Action Growth Stimulating Therapy

  1. Since I had no time to wash her hair, I simply sprayed water and Just For Me! Soft & Beautiful 2-n-1 Conditioning Detangler all over her hair to give it that wet look and combed through it, detangling it.
  2. I parted her hair from ear to ear and separated the top section from the back section.
  3. I then used the end of a rattail comb to part the rows, but used my fingers to separate the sections of the strands.
  4. While wet, I applied a generous amount of Herbal Esscences Hello Hydration Conditioner as moisturizer & generous amount of Kids Organics Gro Strong Triple Action Growth Stimulating Therapy to reduce frizziness to each strand before twisting it.
  5. I did her twists small so she could have nice tight curls tomorrow.
  6. I did step four throughout her whole head and the pictures up top were the end results!
I think using these products & elements together was good, because when she woke up this morning her hair was still fresh and not dried out. I didn't have to do much to it. This was my first time using the HEHH product. I've seen it used and mention numerous times on Mixed Roots and on Beads, Braids, & Beyond, so I definitely had to try it. I'm not going to speak much on how it was because I plan posting a review of the product in the very near future!

MY REVIEW
POSITIVE: I usually am the type of person to stick to what I know, but I saw this product in the hairstore and smelled it and just had to have it! I let my daughter smell it as well and she suggested that I try it. I read it's 'mission' and directional use and loved that it helps reduce frizziness (something I always had a problem with). I bought it, tried it, and loved it! It did reduce frizz, gave my daughter's hair the shine it deserves, and it made her hair smell good!

NEGATIVE: Although I do love this product, there are a couple of negatives to it. The product is very loose in the jar so if you open it the wrong way (as I did, lol), it will probably spill. I was under the impression that it wasn't that loose and kind of had a gel like hold to it before I opened it, but I was wrong. I had to find out the hard way by cleaning up a mess. On the plus side, it gave my sofa SHINE too lol. Moving on. The second problem is, well, it's really not a problem, but it could be but I applied a bit on the hair and while twisting, the product started coming through the strands. It dissolves in a small amount of time though. The good thing is you don't have to use a LOT to get the results you need, the bad thing is if you do by accident, then beware!

OVERALL: Since I know what not to do now, I can honestly say I do love the product and will probably be using it more in the future. I've smelled the shampoo & hair moisturizer and it smelled lovely too, so I definitely want to try it! I can definitely recommend this product!
