Hair, Crafts & More!
'Princess' and I had a good weekend! I did spend a good bit of my time working on this website, but I managed to do other things as well! Friday, after I picked my daughter up from school we put together her Disney Princesses puzzle! Friday night, I did her hair! Saturday, her and her brother took pictures!
Sunday, she asked if we could make matching friendship bracelets for her and her two best friends at school that she's ALWAYS talking about and I said yes. Unfortunately, we never got to make them before she went to sleep. I was about to go to bed before I remembered about them and got back up and did them! When she woke up, I surprised her with them and she was ESTATIC. She took them to school and gave them to her friends and they loved it. The fact that she's happy makes me happy!
How was your weekend?!

Beads Braids & Buns
I did my daughter's hair in this style about three weeks ago. Beads, braids, and a bun! I'm not gonna get into specifics about how I did it, but I put a braid in the front and a bun at the top. I put 20 beads on each braids.
In the back, I made two separate rows and individually put the ponytails in rubberbands then braided two braids per ponytail. At the top of the rows, I braided two braids, one going in each direction and put beads on the end of them. And to top it off, I put a nice flower bow around the bun. That's basically it! I used Just For Me! Soft & Beautiful 2-N-1 Conditioning Detangler and B&B Pink Oil Moisturizer.

Three Strand Twists To Spiral Curls
Want to give your daughter spiral curls without using a curling iron? Well, you can! The other day I put three strand twists in my daughter's hair and when I finally took them out (days later), they came out in spiral curls! Check Beads, Braids, & Beyond for a post on three strands to spiral curls & my last entry!
I applied Kids Organic Gro Strong Triple Action to one of the curls to give it a little shine. When I noticed how well it turned out, I decided to do the whole back half of her head, which is the reason for the post before this one! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
ALSO, the Beautiful Biracial Store is now open for business! I've only posted the jewelry, but there's loads more to come so keep checking back for updates!

Half Cornrows & Three Strand Twists (Back)
This hairstyle, Half Cornrows & Three Strand Twists (Back), was heavily inspired by Beads, Braids, & Beyond. Monday morning, I'll be taking out the three strand twists so they can hang, so for the weekend, it's like this! I've always wanted to try this hairstyle because Ms. Nikki styled it so beautifully in her daughter's hair!
HOW I ACHIEVED THIS LOOK
- First I parted her hair from ear to ear to separate the part that I was going to braid from the part that I was going to twist.
- I started off by using the end of a rat tail comb to part her hair and doing the individual three strand twists. By the time I got half way done, I stopped using the comb and started parting with my fingers (lazy, lol).
- Since I had not washed her hair before starting this hairstyle, with each twist, I sprayed Just For Me! Soft & Beautiful 2-n-1 Conditioning Detangler and applied a small amount of Kids Organic Gro Strong Triple Action to give it shine and reduce frizziness.
- After three strand twisting her hair, I began cornrowing the top. I braided each braid half way down and three strand twisted the rest.
- To keep three strand twists from unraveling, I braided the ends on each strand!
- When finished, I sprayed Luster's Pink Sheen Spray to give it a little more shine!
